I finally committed to a date for the GRE...
I'm going to take it Oct. 7th in the afternoon...and now I am nervous...really nervous. But I have been working through the practice and refresher software I got last week and having a deadline will keep me motivated for the work. I spent three hours on math refresher tonight, I am working my way through all of it, just for luck. The only thing I really have trouble with so far is time considerations on things like reducing large fractions. The algebra is what really gives me headaches, and I have not got to that section yet. Hopefully the coaching will pull my math scores up to an acceptable level...or I'm fucked.
I had my first full day of classes Thursday and I am pretty excited about them all. I am going to be busier than a one legged man in an ass kicking contest this semester. Two good things came out on Thursday; one is that I can use my senior thesis project as the backbone of my research methods class and the other is that I can use my Writing Center Developmental Lab tutoring job as the service learning component of my Social Change class. This is very cool...killing two birds with one stone twice over...and I really need time saving devices this semester.
The way it is working out is that I have five classes ammounting to sixteen units, plus working about twenty hours in the writing center, plus Sociology Club PR Officer, plus working for a living, plus studying for the GRE, plus applying for Grad school and all that implies, plus I really have to keep an eye on Jaime's schoolwork this year. I also have to manage to keep up on housework and maintain a healthy, happy relationship with Alisha and ...oh my God I'm gonna POP!
Well, at least I won't be bored...as if I'm ever bored lately...
Peace out all y'all...

Back to School....
Well, technically, classes started yesterday; but, all I have on Wed. is the Honors Senior thesis colloquium and that is just a meeting really. About ten of us and three professors from the honors program staff gathered to discuss our senior thesis ideas and progress and to get feedback, critique and direction from the professors. I think it will be cool.
Anyway, I'm going to meet Alisha in a bit and then I have classes from 9:40 - 4:00 with seven minute breaks between. It will be fun and busy. Shit, this is going to be a busy year...
I will report later...peace...
